Flavors & Fragrances. Dimethyl Sulfide (DMS) is used as a constituent of various fragrances. Additionally, DMS is a component of specific flavors for dairy products and for enhancing corn-related flavors. It is listed in the US Food Chemical Codex, and as a synthetic flavoring substance and adjuvant (CFR 21 §172.515). Our material is well suited to this application, due to its high purity and extremely low carbon disulfide content. DMS is available in convenient 750 pound cylinders, for this application.
