Catalyst Presulfiding

Catalyst Control. Presulfiding of hydrocracking, HDN, HDS, and reforming catalysts is important to regulate their selectivity, activity, and stability. The process of presulfiding essentially relies upon the thermal decomposition of DMS or DMSO, and subsequent replacement of oxygen atoms on the catalyst’s surface with sulfur formed in the decomposition process.

Gaylord Chemical Company L.L.C. offers two products for catalyst presulfiding: Exact-S® Dimethyl Sulfide and Enviro-S® Dimethyl Sulfoxide.
